• Rosemary Hodges, Ed. D came to the Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering after twenty years of service to Athens State University. At Athens State University she developed unique academic partnerships with P-12 school systems and institutions of higher education.  She also served as the Interim Dean of the College of Education, Coordinator of Assessment and Accreditation, and rose to the rank of Professor during her tenure. Before joining the Athens State faculty, she secured 10 years of P-12 experience as a classroom teacher for Huntsville City, Madison County, and Decatur City school systems; as a high school math summer enrichment instructor with Alabama Agriculture and Mechanical University (AAMU); a K-8 summer science enrichment teacher with the University of Alabama-Huntsville and Teacher Level-1 instructor for the U.S Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL.

    Dr. Hodges has made numerous presentations at the local, state, and national levels for many professional groups, most recently on the Absence of Minority Male Teachers in the P-12 classroom at the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP**) conference. She is skilled in course development and teaching in both the face to face format as well as online. She currently serves as an onsite/offsite chairperson for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and has served as a Graduate adjunct for the AAMU in Educational Leadership. 

    Embracing the core values of integrity, accountability, and dependability, Hodges applies those values and her skills outside of academia through service on various Boards including the Alabama Educators Credit Union, Holt Street Academy of Montgomery, AL.  and as a mentor to select local school administrators and novice teachers. 

    Rosemary graduated from St. Ambrose University of Davenport, Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and minor in Mathematics and a doctorate degree from Tennessee State University of Nashville, Tennessee in Curriculum & Instruction. The 30 years of varied educational experiences Dr. Hodges brings to the team is only matched by her dedication to the profession and outstanding leadership quality.

    Dr. Hodges is married to Melvin L. Hodges, they are parents to 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
