Application Requirements

See below the application requirements for the 2026-2027 Admissions Season:
 
Note: Due to internship placement age requirements, students must be 14 by September 1 of their Freshman year to qualify for admission. 
 
Please begin compiling the following documents to ensure the timely submission of your application:
  • 3 years of academic transcripts: For applicants entering 9th Grade:
      • 6th Grade Report Card
      • 7th Grade Report Card
      • 8th Grade Report Card for the 1st 9 weeks
  • For applicants entering 10th Grade:
    • 7th Grade Report Card
    • 8th Grade Report Card
    • 9th Grade Report Card for the 1st 9 weeks
  • 3 Years of Attendance Records
  • 3 Years of Discipline Records
  • STEM Teacher (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Recommendation from current teacher (recommendation link is sent to your teacher from your application. You must start an application, share your teacher’s email, and have your teacher complete the required form)
  • Administrator/Counselor Recommendation from current Administrator/Counselor (recommendation link is sent to your teacher from your application. You must start an application, share your teacher’s email, and have your teacher complete the required form)

Home School, Private School, & Virtual School Applicants

Home School, Private School, and Virtual School applicants are eligible to apply for admission by submitting the Stanford 10, SSAT, ACT, or SAT. If those tests are unavailable to you, ASCTE hosts numerous testing options for your student.
 
All testing will be held on the ASCTE campus from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. There is a $75 fee for on-campus testing. Students can register through Ravenna, and payment is made 10 days prior to the testing date.

There is no minimum qualifying score for admission. Scores are one of many evaluation criteria and are meant to provide insight into the academic potential of incoming applicants.
 
All applicants are reviewed holistically.
