ASCTE Earns Cognia Accreditation

Re: Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering Earns Accreditation from Cognia

Huntsville, AL (Feb 11, 2022)  The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering (ASCTE) is pleased to announce that it has completed the rigorous review process and earned Accreditation from Cognia™, a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and education service providers.

Earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means that the school is accredited and that ASCTE is recognized across the nation as a school that meets Cognia Standards of Quality, and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement. Schools in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a five-year term.

“This accreditation process revealed exemplary commendations that validate the incredible and innovative teaching and learning that occurs every day at ASCTE. Staying true to our mission of ensuring all students achieve and learn at their highest level, our accreditation results are a direct result of the world-class education ASCTE students receive. In only our 2nd year of operation, we are seeing those impacts actualize and I am thrilled to see what we accomplish next,” stated ASCTE President Matt Massey.

Dr. Mark A. Elgart, president and CEO of Cognia, stated, “Cognia Accreditation is a rigorous process that focuses the entire school and its community on the primary goal of preparing lifelong learners in engaging environments where all students can flourish.  ASCTE is to be commended for demonstrating that it has met high standards, and is making progress on key indicators that impact student learning.”

The Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering is the nation’s only high school focused on the integration of cyber technology and engineering into all academic disciplines. ASCTE is a public, residential magnet high school serving students throughout the state of Alabama. Tuition is free.
